Day
1 : Arrive Delhi
|
 |
On
arrival in New Delhi, you will be met and greeted by our
local representative and transferred to your hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sight
seeing tour of Delhi. Visit the Raj Ghat, the memorial of
Mahatma Gandhi - the father of the nation, Qutub Minar and
Drive past the President house (Rashtrapati Bhawan) and
India gate (war memorial). The evening is at leisure for
shopping or personal activities.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day
2 : Delhi - Jaipur (THE ENTIRE TOUR CAN BE DONE BY CAR INSTEAD
OF TRAIN)
|
Early
morning check out of hotel and transfer to the railway station
to board train for Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur at 1100 hrs, you
will be met by our local representative and transferred to your
hotel. Jaipur city was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693-1743).
The Old City (Known as the Pink City) is a great place to wander
around. The whole city was painted in Pink color by Maharaja Man
Singh II when Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, visited Jaipur
in 1876 AD. Jaipur was and remains the only city in the world,
symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through nine rectangular
sectors sub-dividing it. Jaipur is a royal city & this is its
most noticeable aspect, small buildings & festivals testify it.
Late in the afternoon visit the Birla Temple and from there drive
to Chowki Dhani - a village resort where you will enjoy a traditional
meal in the village settings. Overnight at hotel.

Day
3 : Jaipur
|
After
breakfast at hotel proceed for full day sightseeing tour of
Jaipur city, visiting Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) for a photo
stop. Hawa Mahal a Pandora box of wonders; the enchanting Hawa
Mahal is a multi-layered palace, with a profusion of windows
and stone screens.
Later
proceed for Amber Fort located 9 Kms north west of Jaipur, the
Amber Fort was once the Capital of the Minas. Falling under
the Golden Triangle, and being visited by millions of domestic
and foreign tourists, the city of Jaipur is a place of high
tourist interest. The image of the Amber Fort is beautifully
reflects in the lake below. Within the fort lies the famous
Jai Mandir (Temple) with its world renowned Sheesh Mahal, a
hall full of Mirrors.
The
walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful
array of mirrors. City Palace occupies a large area divided
into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. Jai Singh
built the outer wall but other additions were made much later,
some right up to the start of this century. The former Maharaja
still lives in part of the palace. Return to the hotel. Overnight
at the hotel.

Day
4 : Jaipur - Agra
|
After
breakfast at the hotel, check out and travel to Agra by a private
car. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri - a city predominantly in Red
Sandstone.
Mughal Emperor, Akbar, built this town. Though planned as the
capital but shortage of water compelled him to abandon the city.
Fatehpur Sikri was built during 1571 and 1585 and is one of the
finest examples of Mughal architectural splendor at its height.
On arrival in Agra visit Agra Fort. Built principally as a military
establishment by Akbar in 1565, the red sandstone Agra fort was
partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time. Though
the principle structure was built by Akbar, many more additions
were made by his grandsons. Overnight at the hotel.

Day
5 : Agra - Delhi (Can be done by car)
|
|
Early
morning viait the Taj Mahal, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan
in the memory of his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal was
the culmination point of Indo-Persian architecture. After buffet
breakfast at the hotel, free till check -out, later drive to Delhi,
on arrival at Delhi transfer to hotel, rest of the day free at
leisure. Overnight at hotel.

6 : Delhi
|

Buffet
breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Check
out at noon and transfer to the airport for return flight
/ onward journey.
