HIMALAYAN KINGDOM - NEPAL

Duration : 9 Days/ 8 Nights

Day 1: Kathmandu

On arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu

After breakfast, proceed for a full day sight seeing tour visiting the sacred Hindu temple, the Pashupatinath and the known Buddist temple, the Boudhanath. The remainder of the day will be spent sightseeing in Kathmandu. Overnight at a Kathmandu hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu/Chitwan

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon tea. Later take an elephant ride in the Jemeli area of the Royal Chitwan Park. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Chitwan

Early morning elephant ride in the Lamital area. After returning from elephant safari, breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, take a ride on the traditional dugout canoe from our lodge to Kasara, the park headquarters. The ride is on the Rapti River and is approximately 5km long. At the end of the ride a visit will be made to Gharial project. From here take a jungle walk with a trained Naturalist. You will be back at the hotel for lunch and a little rest. Later in the afternoon visit an ethnic Tharu village. This excursion lets you experience the feeling of Nepal's rustic terai. The surrounding farmland an village has pulse of its own, giving a sense of timelessness. An experienced guide will accompany you throughout. After the day's program return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 5: Chitwan

After breakfast drive across the Narayani River Bridge to the foot of the Kali hill. From here hike to the famous Kali temple, where every Saturday animal sacrifices are performed. From the top of the hill you have a panoramic view of the Chitwan valley, Dev Ghat and Kali-Gandaki River as it emerges from its long journey from Tibet. Return to hotel for lunch. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Chitwan/ Pokhra

After early breakfast, drive from Chitwan to Pokhra. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day for independent activities or boating in Phewa Lake surrounded by snow covered Himalayan peaks. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Pokhara/ Kathmandu

After breakfast, proceed for a half day city tour. Later transfer to the airport for flight to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met by our local representative and proceed for a half day city tour, visiting the Darbar Square of Patan and another Buddhist temple. Later check in at the hotel. Overnight at a Kathmandu hotel.

Day 8: Kathmandu

After breakfast, get insights of the rich cultural heritage of Nepal on sightseeing of Thimi and Darbar Square of Bhaktapur. Spend the afternoon in Panauti and enjoy the evening in Dhulikhel. Overnight at a Kathmandu hotel.

Day 9: Departure

Transfer to the airport for onward destination.
