VISA FOR TRAVEL TO SRI LANKA


UPDATE: Effective Jan. 1, 2012.

U.S. Citizens & other nationals will now need to appy online for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) to entry Sri Lanka for Visit or Business for a stay of 30 days maximum & is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
Please email or call our office for more information.

For stay more than 30 days, all citizens will need to apply for a visa prior to traveling to Sri Lanka.

Visas are required for persons proceeding to Sri Lanka for other purposes such as business, lectures, educational assignments, academic research, employment, voluntary work in social service organizations, attachment to diplomatic missions and other international organizations or to join their spouses in Sri Lanka.

All other nationalities can check with our office to see whether they require a visa or not.

Jurisdiction:
We can only process your visa if you live in the New York jurisdiction.
New York: New York, New Jersey & Connecticut.

Requirements for obtaining an Sri Lanka Visa:

  • A passport valid for a minimum of six months from the date of intended arrival (with at least one blank page available).
  • One Application Form filled out & presented at least one month prior to intended date of travel.
  • Two recent passport photos.
  • A copy of round-trip ticket or a booked itinerary showing travel to and from Sri Lanka.
  • For Non US nationals - Evidence of your Immigration Status in the USA. Submit Original documents.
    These may included one or combination of the following:
    - Alien Registration Card (Greencard).
    - H1-B Visa.
    - Advance Parole Document.
    - Employment Authorization Card.
    - Valid DS 2019 (Formerly IAP66).
    - Valid I-20, signed on the reverse side by designated school official.
    - Valid I-94.
    - B1/B2 visitors to the USA should show a ticket returning to their home country.
  • Money Order or Certified Check from the bank, payable to the Embassy of Sri Lanka. Please check with us for consulate fees.
  • A letter stating the purpose of the visit with relevant additional information, if not already included in the application form should be furnished.
  • Employment Letter
    For Vacation: to include length of service & vacation dates.
    For Business: giving full details of proposed business visit and stating employer will be financially responsible and A letter from the sponsoring agency in Sri Lanka.
    Self-employed: letter of incorporation/business registration document or 1040 tax return.
  • Evidence of funds, i.e. Recent bank statement, travelers cheques (Credit card statements are not acceptable).
  • Filled out & Signed our Passport & Visa Service Order Form.
Please Note:
  • All documents should be in original form with a copy sent in to our office.
  • Visas fees varies according to the type of visa that is required by the applicant. Contact us for more detailed information.

Once you have the above documents in order please call us prior to sending documents. Make payment to Arrow Travel & Tours and send a Pre-paid return FedEx Airbill or appropriate fee.
